About Me

I’ve recently trained on the NCTJ fast-track course at the PA Media Academy, where I built a strong foundation in media law, public affairs, shorthand, and multimedia storytelling.

I hold a BA in Media and Culture from the University of Amsterdam, where I focused on media theory, digital platforms, and cultural analysis, alongside a minor in sociology.

I started writing at university, launching a blog that explored themes of race, class, and privilege. At the PA Media Academy, I further developed my interviewing, research, and storytelling skills. Since then, I’ve reported on youth unemployment, trans rights, cybercrime, and grassroots responses to violence - stories that push past headlines to surface unheard voices and shed light on what’s often left out of the mainstream.

Before training as a journalist, I worked as a social media manager in Amsterdam, overseeing strategy and content for 17 accounts. I created daily videos, graphics, and written posts, increasing overall engagement by 74%.
